Harney County Economic Development Moving in New Direction

BURNS, Ore. - The Harney County Court has contracted with Gregory Smith & Company, LLC of Heppner, Oregon to lead Harney County Economic Develpemnt efforts.

With an extensive background in rural business services, economic development, and commercial financing, Gregory Smith & Company is pleased to work wtih the county court to provide services to exsiting and potential new businesses in the region.

Gregory Smith & Company has hired longtime resident, Denise Rose to serve as part of the Harney County team. Rose has 15 years experience in medical recruiting, grant writing, project managment, and leadership/staff development. She and her husband have lived in Harney County since 1988 and raisedd three children here.

The Harney County Economic Development team will include:

• Greg Smith, Director - Commercial financing, business recruitment, small business and industrial development.

• Denise Rose, Assistant to the Director - Economic development coordinator.

• Phillip Scheuers, Assisant to the Director - State regulation, business incentive programs, industrial development, and special projects.

• Sherri Smith, Executive Assistant to the Director - Commercial financing and special projects.
